Common Habits that Age You Faster
There have never been more products available targeting women that want to stay young and vibrant. However, there are still little habits that you’re engaging in daily that will counteract any good that all of those anti-aging products might do for you. If you’re curious about what you can change to keep yourself young longer, check out the following:
1. Eating too much. When you eat until you’re just too full, you’re doing some bad things to your body. It doesn’t matter what you’re eating, either. You can even eat too many vegetables and fruits. When you overeat, you’re adding inches to your waistline. You can also start developing early signs of Type 2 Diabetes and heart disease. Even worse, this can stretch your stomach lining causing you to get things like ulcers or hernia. You need to cut fat and calories out of your diet and be sure to chew your food slowly. This gives your body time to register that it’s had enough to eat.
2. Staring too long at a screen. It doesn’t really matter whether the screen you’re staring at is the television while playing video games or searching things on the Internet. If you’re staring at a screen for most of the day, it’s going to have a negative impact on you. This can affect your eyesight, your weight, and your brain. When you cut down on how much time you’re spending in front of a screen, you’ll immediately see the difference in how you feel physically and mentally.
3. Stress. Of all the things that cause aging, stress is one of the worst. This impacts your entire body in a negative way. It affects your heart all the way to how your brain deals with things. Get acquainted with your stress triggers and figure out ways to tone down the stress in your life. If you don’t know where to start, something you can do immediately is to learn how to say no. A lot of the time stress comes from not being able to keep the activities in your life balanced. Those things that you don’t get pleasure from should go so that you can have more time to relax.
4. Little to no sex. Oddly enough, one of the more “sinful” pleasures in life is also one of the best ways to stay young. Research says that a healthy and active sex life will help you maintain your youth. Having a good romp on a regular basis reduces stress, boosts your immune system, reduces pain and makes your heart stronger. Some scientists feel that having sex regularly is better for your body than getting more sleep.
5. Loud music players. Since technology lets you listen to music wherever you go, there’s now another way to damage your hearing when you keep it turned up loud all the time. Not being able to hear as well as you used to will make you feel even older. Invest in some headphones or noise reducing headset and keep the volume turned down.
